SIROCCO is designed as a single-loop MTB XCM course, starting and finishing in Old Matmata.
The route covers approximately 63 km with 850 meters of elevation gain, offering a dynamic and engaging endurance challenge across the region’s distinctive desert terrain.
Riders will navigate a hilly, arid landscape featuring a varied mix of paved and unpaved sections, combining fast-rolling segments with more technical and rugged passages.
The course follows ancient Berber trails, guiding participants through spectacular lunar scenery, remote valleys, and historic paths leading to old Berber villages and ruins — where the race experience blends seamlessly with the cultural heritage of southern Tunisia.
